PASTOR OF VICTORY TEMPLE PHILIPPINES |
ABOUT PASTOR STEVE ANTONIO
My name is Pastor Steve Antonio. I was brought up in a christian home, but this did not make me a christian,
at the age of 14 I give myself to the Lord Jesus Christ . I was baptized on March 20, 1996. But after while I blackslide,
started drinking, until I was 16, and I made a full commitment and went to study God's word in the College. After two years
I proceed to study Bachelor Of Science in Nursing.
When I was 14, I was inroduced to the joys of alcohol, As my addictions to this began to grow stronger,
so did my temper and hatred for mankind. I rebelled against everything you could possibly think of, Jesus, my parents, Christianity,
School leaders, Etc.
This went on for a few years, till I turned 16, When I was 16, I was introduced to Jesus, not the
Jesus you hear about in church, but a living breathing Jesus. He lived in a man that I consider today to be a very dear friend.
You see, this man, walked with Jesus, and it showed in everything I did. His family life, his work, everything I began to
slowly realize that this man was happy, and that I wanted that peace and joy in my life. So when I was 16, I gave my life
to a living Jesus.
I began to read the word ( Bible) and pray alot. As I got stronger in Jesus, people began to notice
the change in me. Not your everyday run of the mill people, either; gang members, drug leaders, witches, and a wide variety
of others. They would just come up to me on the street , and want to know about this Jesus person that changed my life so
much. So I told them, and through me, Jesus was reaching out to others. It was an enormous responsiblity sometimes, but it
was worth so long ago, but a LIVING, breathing God. Someone that would be there in every aspect of their lives; someone that
would reach out and touch them, and take away all the pain they felt in their lives; someone that would reach out and touch
them, and take away all the pain they felt in their lives; someone that would leave the whole flock to come and find just
the one that had strayed. ( Matthew 18:12-14).
On 2003, We started the Street Kids Ministry in our city.Later i came in contact with Apostle
Dr Prince Nnams Kalu who instructed me to Start Victory Temple Assembly in Philippines, I believe that God desires
to raise up an army of children and Adult from the despair of city street and they shall go forth proclaiming the gospel
of Jesus Christ. They are a choosen generation, a royalpriesthood, God's own special people, that they may proclaim the praises
of Him who called them out of darkness into His marvelous light.
So here I am. It has not always been easy since I began my walk with Jesus Christ. But he has always
been there for me when I needed him..
AND HE WILL BE THERE FOR YOU TOO...
You see, the Lord Jesus was a simple man, he taught a simple Gospel, for those that needed it
most. He taught that you must be saved. ( John chapter 3) bottom line. He also tells us that all have sinned and fallen short
of the glory of God ( Romans 3:23) All of us are sinners, and we need Jesus to take our sins away, so we can heal from the
pains this world gives us everyday.
LUKE 4:18 He hath sent me to heal the broken hearted
Open the door and let Him in... " Behold, I stand at the door and knock: if anyone hears My voice
and opens the door, I will come in to him, and will dine with him, and he with Me." |

YOUTH MINISTRYYOUTH MINISTRY "Let no man despise the youth, be those an example...
in purity (Timothy 4:11-12).
The modern age is the age of youth. 82% of the youth live in Rural and 18%in urban
areas. Many youth in our societies are deflected and lived in deprived situation because of UN-employment, drought conditions,
lack of information, lack of spiritual guidance and degraded social values. As a result of this, they are increasingly taking
to the bottle, drugs and otherwise, they have no clear out goal in their lives. I found much and more unrest in their faces.
Most of them are having little understanding of their own capacities and potentialities. They always are doubting their situation.
To get rid of this uneasiness they shifting themselves to all evils, assist militant groups, resort to dacoit, extortion,
cheating public and financial institutions and becoming anti social elements.
Dalit Christians and Tribal Youth are neglected a lot in Indian contest, particularly
in Andhra Pradesh. Social stigma and discrimination of Government. There is no equality and social justice. In some parts
of the State they are Un-touchable and unable to join the main stream of society. Since ancient times could not afford to
provide education due to financial problems. Due to discrimination even from the schooling level and as such are traditionally
uneducated or under educated and their economical condition has never been even sufficient to meet their basic needs of livelihood.
No pastor or community elders realized to harness untapped energies and to actively
involve youth in evangelical or church activities. So, Our Ministries has started mobilizing both Urban and Rural youth
irrespective of sex and education for evangelical and social action of their communities. It is also trying to implement micro
credit and income generation programmes for the youth to avert them from all sorts of worldly entices and to make them to
live on their own. We are striving to enhance and equip the youth with tools essential for transforming the lives youth and
marginalized communities. The two main ways to solve the problems of the youth are 1)
To get the Youth into fuller employment. 2) To improve the Labour efficiency.
We conduct "Youth Camps" to impart social and religious instructions and to improve
the patriotism.
We conduct seminars, workshops, counseling sessions to create awareness in youth
about the job opportunities.
We provide personality development to youth for self sufficient to face the difficulties;
self control over stress and strain and lead them to reach their goals. |
